next i painted the faces in transparents
looking for cooler lights and warmer shadows......a change from my usual

again i think the result isnt half bad. this is still only the first coat of colour

tried a new medium ie camlins oil painting gel. I first couched the area i intended to paint with the medium and then worked-in the paint straight from the tube. Like it....find that it facilitates brushstrokes and gives a nice varnishy finish. It also dries fairly quickly, allowing one to work over the dried layer on the same day!

after taking the photographs i noticed that the kids jowls were looking too big
i fixed it but havent taken another photograph
something which i'll do after working on the piece a little more

sorry man.....ive been in bangalore all this while...........my dad extended his trip!! he just left day before yesterday!!
got back to erode day before.....decided to vegetate for a while ..........
